About the Guild:
The Somerset Guild of Weavers, Spinners, and Dyers, founded in 1949, is one of the oldest guilds in the UK and a proud founding member of the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners, and Dyers. Our community of around 100 members includes everyone from enthusiastic beginners to seasoned experts.
Our Story:
Our Guild’s story began with two extraordinary women, Misses Dickinson and Biddulph, known as the Quantock Weavers. Their passion for spinning and weaving led to the founding of our Guild in 1949. Over the years, we’ve grown and flourished, continuing their legacy of craftsmanship and community. L:earn more here.
